Are you our new Functional Safety Engineer within Electric Power Steering?

Core responsibilities

In this position the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven capability and experience in design and development of safety related automotive applications. The main responsibilities will be to design, develop and maintain safety strategies and concepts for our Electric Power Steering Control Unit, including – but not limited to:

  • Development of safety plan
  • Tailoring of the safety lifecycle
  • Safety requirements facilitation
  • Designing test and verification strategies
  • Support the compilation of a safety case
  • Facilitate safety audits or product assessments
  • Plan for, support and/or perform ASIL-dependent confirmation measures
  • Provide feedback on and develop implemented safety processes to drive continuous improvement and lessons learned

  • Requirements
  • Experience in development of safety-critical products (ISO26262 or similar)
  • Master degree or similar in engineering with at least 3 years of documented experience
  • Skills in both teamwork and individual work.
  • Autonomy, drive and ability to work in a team are key abilities
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to manage & support multiple activities (time management skills)

It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following:

  • Automotive industry
  • Low level embedded software development in C
  • Version control tools
  • Good knowledge of electronics
  • Infineon Aurix
  • Motor Control
  • AUTOSAR
  • Diagnostics
  • Truck driver license
